Description

The swamp straw version of the S-Chair is distinguished by its meticulous handwoven process, taking about six hours per chair. It pays homage to artisanal craftsmanship amid industrialization. The S-Chair resides in permanent collections at major international museums, including the Triennale in Milan and MoMA in New York.

Cappellini, founded in 1946 by Enrico Cappellini, is a renowned furniture brand known for embracing cutting-edge designs, fostering experimentation and redefining living concepts. Led by Giulio Cappellini's talent scouting, the company has recruited designers worldwide, showcasing an extraordinary intuition refined through years of experience.

Tom Dixon
born in Tunisia, moved to England in '63. He left Chelsea School of Art to explore his creative instincts and founded the "Space" laboratory, a collaborative space for artists and designers. Dixon gained international recognition and became a Member of the Order of the British Empire in 2000. His works are part of prestigious museum collections worldwide.
