Description

Børge Mogensen’s foldable Outdoor Bench was designed back in 1971. Rediscovered by Carl Hansen & Søn, the iconic designer’s outdoor table and bench set is reworked to modern sensibilities, yet remains true to the spirit of its original design.

The series’ bench is set on sturdy legs that tuck neatly inside the elegant slatted seat for easy storage when not in use. Padded cushions in weather resistant Sunbrella fabric enhance sitting comfort. The BM1871 bench can be sold with or without the cushions. It pairs with the corresponding BM1771 Table.

Børge Mogensen
He became a highly-influential designer and a leading representative of Danish Modern. Mogensen’s democratic design included simple and functional wooden furniture, with calm aesthetics and strong construction. He believed in visual clarity and minimal decoration.
